In Hollywood, that can be a good thing.

And sometimes, it can be a very, very good thing… introducing Bar Delux, LA’s new, Old Hollywood-styled bar, opening later this week in the Cahuenga Corridor. Masterminded by Adolfo Suaya (Geisha House) and designer Kristofer Keith (Goa), Bar Delux is an Art Deco-inspired bar that pays homage to everything you love about the Roaring ’20s. There are golden chandeliers, mahogany-framed mirrors, and a massive, emerald stained-glass mural that runs along the marble bar.

While you soak up the scene with a couple of martinis, allow your date to venture upstairs to The Powder Room (yes, The Powder Room). Think of The Powder Room as the female-only club within the club. Ladies will be treated to a VIP-room setting powered by red lighting, lipstick red velvet walls, and tiny crystal chandeliers.

Expect a little waiting for her return.

We’re not kidding.

You totally love saving the planet.

Which is why you’ll also love Ecco Ultra Lounge, Hollywood’s first and only green nightlife destination. Located in the former Tokio Hollywood spot, Ecco is green at its finest. Step inside the Beau Robb (Area, Privilege) designed space and you’ll quickly realize why it’s been on our radar for months. Eco-minded scenesters will appreciate the state-of-the-art, energy-efficient LED lighting, bamboo flooring and “eco-friendly cement.” Here, no green stone is left unturned; valet service is even comped for hybrid vehicles.

But Ecco is more than green. Knock back a Sparkling Acai, a smooth mix of 360 Eco-Friendly Vodka, Moet Chandon and acai juice, between bites of tonnino yellowfin croquettes, and you’ll see what we mean.

Or get Absinthe-Minded with a potent blend of Organic Lucid Absinthe, sugar, Fiji Water, and wormwood…

You may even meet the Green Fairy.

Ecco is now soft-open for private parties, corporate events, and a special Halloween party. It officially opens to the public in a few weeks.

Now you can kick back with a $100 Gold Martini (dusted with gold leaves, of course) while listening to some of the city’s hottest deejays under perfect lighting (lighting is everything)… introducing 24K Lounge.

If it sounds luxe, well, that’s because it is. Impresarios Miller Uwanawich and Shan Markosyan (aka Shoestring Entertainment) wanted to create the most decadent looking bar in L.A. Naturally, they started with $100 per gallon gold paint (made with gold dust), splurged on champange-colored lighting, plasmas, and a deluxe sound system.

And let’s not forget about that show-stopping chandelier.

The result: an ultra-lounge that’s sure to stay hot with L.A.’s A-List.

All about what’s new.

And uWink is all about… well, you. Opening today in the Hollywood & Highland Center, and brought to you by Nolan Bushnell (of Pong and Atari fame), uWink is a whole new grown-up way to go out and play.

Fun starts at the entrance, where you use your body to control a wall game (hint: it’s a mirror), then moves to the bar decked in dark wood and glowing green lights. Touch screens let you order up cocktails and microbrews, and even customize them down to the salt (or not) on your margarita. Casual comfort food is also just a tap away: from Mac-n-cheese to Braised Short Ribs and Seared Salmon.

Hang out at the first U.S. 12-foot-long iBar, an interactive surface where you can digitally paint the bartop, play games with your friends, and intrigue bar strangers across the room via wall projections. The games are quick and encourage friendly competition, conversation and the occasional phone number.

When was the last time you played Truth-or-Dare?

Now that’s the way to get your party started.

uWink opens today.

Loud colors. Swings hanging from the ceiling. Secret entrance.

If that hot, crazy girl you dated in college were a lounge, she’d be Coco de Ville.

Located next door to STK, but a mile away in personality, this latest destination raises the visual volume in nightlife. Candy-colored hues span the spectrum throughout the interiors, highlighting action-inviting swings and trippy recliner chairs.

Making your way through the bar, you can lose yourself amongst all the details. Hide out in the fully-decked smoking lounge with a solid Cuban, or take in the bottle-service area. And if it’s the paparazzi you’re really hiding from, arrange to use the private entrance and underground car park. (They seem to do the job for Drew Barrymore, Victoria and David Beckham, and Eva Longoria.)

But if you run into that hot, crazy girl?

Maybe take a second look at those swings…

Coco de Ville opens tonight, and going forward, on Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

If you’re itching for a vacay but have zero time-off days banked up, we have just the place for you.

The new Malibu Pier Club will transport you to Waikiki circa the Gidget era.

Located less than a hop, skip and jump away from the sandy Malibu shores, we’re talking prime real estate (not to mention generous eye candy), Malibu Pier Club is Northern California at its best. Get your drink on with tropical concoctions like Gidget’s Gimlet, the Bootlegger and the Sea Otter Pop. Then loosen your belts for some gourmet bar grub, like the Tiny Ahi Tacos, Seared Diver Scallops and Truffle Chips.

Come June, The Beachcomber, a restaurant with a more extensive menu, will open its doors adjacent to the bar. So between the eateries and the killer waves, Malibu Pier Club will literally offer the best of both worlds.

Surf’s up!

The Malibu Pier Club opens to the public tomorrow (4/2).
