And it often does… like at Goat, the brand new La Brea eatery from Steven Arroyo (Cobras & Matadors). Located in the space that was briefly Arroyo’s Happi Songs Asian Tavern, Goat is an entirely different animal. Named partially for Muhammad Ali’s famous acronym, the Greatest Of All Time, Goat offers stylized comfort food with a relaxed vibe (think mismatched furnishings and funky adornments).

You’ll want to try the Baked Pork Chops with Creamed Mustard, Green Apples and Red Potatoes or a very comforting Cheeseburger with Pomme Frites. Goat fans will also want to check out the House Special Goat Confit and save room for the sweet and savory Fig, Goat Cheese & Rosemary Bread Pudding.
