Inside One Pico |
Santa Monica’s “New” Oceanfront RestaurantOne Pico Restaurant reopens Tuesday, April 15, 2008 A hot, new menu. Cool, new interiors. An outstanding, new wine list. Every fifteen-year-old could use a little upgrade. But not every teenager fêtes its Sweet Fifteen like One Pico Restaurant at Shutters. To celebrate a decade and a half of dining excellence, Santa Monica’s favorite oceanfront eatery has reinvented itself. Chef Michael Reardon has said ciao to his modern American menu in favor of seasonal Italian dishes like Sweet Shrimp Ravioli, a hearty Steak Fiorentina, and a luscious Bucatini with Maine Lobster and Fritti Misti. As for the wine and the view: indulge in a choice vintage from the California-centric list selected by new Master Sommelier Peter Neptune, while taking in the show-stopping collection of antique boat hulls that adorn the dining room. Take that, awkward teenage years! |
